The mission of our organization is to honor and serve our nation’s military, veterans, first responders and their families by supporting and creating unique programs and events that will inspire our nation, foster patriotism, and raise awareness of post-traumatic stress and suicide prevention.
By dressing in 1940s and 1950s fashion we aspire to bring back patriotism our country fostered during that era. We’re more than just “a pretty face”. We are hard working spouses, veterans, first responders, caregivers and patriots with a passion to see that our nation’s heroes are always honored and remembered.
Battlin' Betties volunteer their time to support veteran and first responder service nonprofit organizations and missions. We celebrate and honor our nation's heroes, take them homemade treats and gifts, attend and host special events, visit VA hospitals and first responder stations, scrubb headstones and lay wreaths and post flags at gravesites, and much more! Our volunteers go above and beyond to give back to our nation’s heroes and their families.
Our members are not just volunteers. We have created a lifelong bond with each other; we are friends and sisters. We are able to call upon each other when we are in need of help in our personal life, as a caregiver or even as individuals, enduring the struggles of PTSD or suicide, obstacles of being a caregiver and also be the biggest supporter a friend would need. We can depend that someone will be there to listen.
Many members of the Battlin' Betties understand the effects of PTS and the personal sacrifices of our service members, first responders and their families, as well as the strength and courage it requires. Our loved ones, spouses and friends, experience the chaos it can leave behind. So we attend educational courses to become advocates and peer mentors. By doing this, we can spread awareness and help educate others of the signs as well as who to contact for professional advice through one of our partner resources.
Your support and contributions will enable us to meet our goals and improve conditions within the military and first responder communities. Your generous donation will fund our mission.
